For the past few days I have been chair bound by this horrible Sciatica pain. It started on Thursday morning as a slight niggling in my back but I still went to Zumba as usual hoping that it would loosen it up however it didn't work and although I realise that there is 'robot' mode in 12wbt I'm sure it's the mindset part of it NOT the actual 'dance like a robot' because limited moves was about all I could do today.
So I had to cancel my PT session that I had today which was ok because I honestly have no guilts about it - I can't even move it's not like I'm just being a chicken. My PT said I did the right thing too because once your back goes there is very little you can do in other areas of the body it's all connected so that's good - I wouldn't want to injury myself further!

Sciatica is painful for me and yet apparently funny all at the same time. It kicks in and out and although you think at times yep I feel alright then you will take a step and then bang down you go. I laugh when I'm in pain at times so I was there going ouch... *laugh laugh - it's not funny... while my husband just stands there smiling at me..... LOL
The pain is also not specific to one part of the body, although it niggles in my back it seems to hang around my gluts and then down the back of my leg, sometimes shooting down my knee to the back and then even sometimes a twang or two in my shin - NOT fun at all!
I went to the Chiro thursday 4pm hoping that it would settle down and I knew that it would take a day or two because that's what happened last time to me but still after the next day it still hadn't settled down and my chiro is away on holidays so I just had to put up with it on the weekend.
It was a sad weekend for me too as I missed out on so much stuff. Friday night was a big birthday bash for Zumba - so 4 hours of Zumba in a club in the city. I went to the last one which I loved so much so was really looking forward to this one and also thinking I would get another 4 hours marked off my '97 hour challenge' so home I sat (and chatted over facebook with another friend who is pregnant right now ALSO with sciatica so we had a small cry together LOL).
Then Saturday I was meant to go to a special release of a new fitness craze in adelaide and I was thinking that I should have at least gone if only to have watched but I literally found moving too much of an effort so I stayed home.
