Zumba Masterclass - Sat 10th March

Tonight was my very first Zumba Master Class and I was so excited to attend.  I've never been to one before however and didn't realise there was a dress theme so I rocked up to see GOLD everywhere.  Everyone looked fantastic but there wasn't many of us not dressed but that's alright we are there to have a good time not a fashion event!

The class was a lot more full on than I expected and I really looked forward to seeing how many calories I was going to burn.  It was a 90 minute class and I burnt 835 calories which was really good!

The main thing I got from the class was to just have a good time and just keep going you were free to sit out at any stage if you wanted to but I just kept going and going.  They swapped between the main two ladies who were running it to the regular instructors that were there to do some regular routines so that was really good.

This is a picture of one of the girls that took the master class - Cassie - OMG how good does she look.  Full of spirt and energy too!

I did all this (naturally despite physio's orders) I had already rested for two days and still had the tape on my foot.  My ankle didn't hurt at all actually it didn't even hurt the next day.  My foot actually was quite difficult to walk on with it being all taped up I guess it did help but it was very difficult.

At the PT session this morning I did a lot of floor work, sit ups and push ups and other weight bearing stuff that didn't involve using my ankle which was good.  I'm glad that I was still able to go and do some toning work.

The other interesting thing about today is that it was my first social lunch in a non controlled setting.  We were invited to a friend's 'steak club' I took my own piece of chicken which was cooked to perfection (along with the other pieces of steak on the bbq, I'm sure that I'm never going to live it down - I keep claiming, but I'm a girl, boy's eat steak)! LOL!

Then instead of eating the massive bowl of deliciously looking creamy mashed potato I had my own salad.  I tell you if looks could kill I might have been shot down from laser beams from the eyes although there were two girls there that longily looked at the salad that I had LOL.  My mate that invited us said he understood but will never 'understand the need to eat green thing's' LOL.  I just laugh I don't take it as offence or upsetting as he is a good friend of ours and knows us well!
